Our 130 acre farm boasts over 55 acres of the finest irrigated pastures in California and large shaded pipe corrals for grazing, turnout, layup, or retirement for your favorite equine friends. In March of 2026 we will have a world class regulation polo field, large polo arena and exercise track for training.
Conveniently located in beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, just off the 101, in Buellton. We are a 20 minute trailer ride to Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center, 1 hour to Santa Barbara, 2 hours to Malibu, and under 3 to the LA Equestrian Center.
Tres Osos Ranch was founded in 2014 as a sanctuary for our horses, dogs and family.  A lifelong equestrian, I set out to create a place where my horses could enjoy some well-earned time off from polo competition and we humans could take shelter from the trials of big city life a few days at a time. Then I got sick. While that is another story for another time, I can honestly say, it was our farm that healed me and taught us we could do more than we ever thought possible.  Informed by three generations of avocado farming right here in Santa Barbara, decades in the wilds of New York City, a lifetime passion for horses and a stubborn commitment to doing things right, we turned our attention to making this farm into a real place of healing, for me, our dogs and my beloved horses. We now do everything from growing our own food and olives for olive oil to raising animals for protein and milk.  We learned to grow and produce the things I needed to get well, and in doing so we found a passion for nurturing this family farm, and all the life that thrives here.  In the process we spared no expense to create the safest, most comfortable sanctuary and happy home for humans and horses alike.
We are thrilled to provide our equine clients with world class turnout, layup and retirement services as well as pristine private polo facilities for our invited guests and clients. Created as a place of restoration for my beloved animals, we are now offering this same level of rest, recovery, retirement and exceptional care for you and yours. We look forward to welcoming you and your horses here to the bonny green fields of Tres Osos Ranch.
